Hundreds of Idahoans Attend Global Warming Protest

My friend, Terrah emailed me this photo with the above heading. It gave me a rather good chucklet.

W has been rollerblading to work lately (when the ground is not snow covered). The director of psychiatry said, "You're crazy." W looked him in the eye and said, "It's good exercise." Everyone scoffed. Then he replied, "It helps the environment." Which of course is only one of the many reasons (cost efficient, actual exercise, gives M the car if needed, etc.). Everyone stopped and said, "Good job, W!" "Way to help the environment!" "You will leave no carbon footprint."

Suddenly he was un-crazy.

There should be a big brass band wearing green with a picture of a tree and the polar ice caps playing, "Hail the Conquering Hero."

Imagine the above snow folk cheering my husband on.

Yeah, Wayne! Wayne is green and eco-friendly. But he's friendly without being all that eco stuff, too.

I have rollerblades, Wayne, so next time we're together we should have a race. (You'd probably win.) :)

What a funny picture! Also, I think it's hilarious that all of W's coworkers scoffed at his rollerblading until he made the point that it was good for the environment. Don't get me wrong -- green is good. It's just funny how it's foremost in everyone's minds these days.

I hope I made it clear that we are not super green granola-ee people. Not to say we don't eat green stuff or granola, we do, but we're not dedicated solely to the purpose of saving the earth. Family first.

Cute pic. And good job, W! Bill says (with an Aussie accent): "Good on ya, mate!" Hey, I wonder how many members in our ward rollerblade? My husband does, but I don't. Maybe the ward should get a group together and venture out to Shore Road in the summer.

Chicken Cordon Blue Pasta

1 Can Alfredo Sauce ( you can buy this at the store or make it from scratch... it's faster from the store)
1-2 Garlic cloves
Pepper
1 Dry Italian seasoning packet
Mushrooms
Olive Oil
Green Onion (finely chopped)
Chicken breasts ( Thin Slices)
Bacon
Mozzarella cheese
Penna Pasta

on the oven you should have:

1 Skillet to saute mushrooms and chicken
1 Sauce Pan for the Alfredo sauce
1 Sauce Pan for the Pasta

Pre Heat oven to 375

Heat the Alfredo sauce and add the garlic, pepper and green onion to taste.
Saute the mushrooms and chicken with a little olive oil and dry Italian dressing.
Cook the bacon in the microwave and break it up into small pieces.
Combine the Alfredo sauce, chicken and mushrooms if you want or add them on top later
In a 9x13 pan combine the pasta and the Alfredo sauce. Then sprinkle the bacon and mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake until the cheese bubbles and starts to brown.

Foccacia Bread

Mozzarella Cheese
English muffins
Butter
Garlic Powder
Crushed red pepper

Combine the butter and garlic powder to taste
Spread butter mixture on both halves of muffin
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on each half of the English muffin
Add just a dash of crushed red pepper
Bake at 375 with the pasta or broil in the oven cheese sides up until the cheese starts to melt
then place the English muffin halves together and continue baking until just a little crisp.

It's not really an exact science we kinda made it up but it tastes pretty close.

Hee hee! The director of psychiatry! Louis used to walk to work, when he work was closer... as he was walking through the snow one night a car slowed down and yelled out to him, "Get a car, Hippie!" We still laugh about this! He was forever known as the "California hippie" at work!

It's funny how you can be totally nuts, until you join everyone else's nuts-hood and then suddenly you're sane!
