Here is what it looks like--sort of.  The middle one is the one that is the closest to how it looks as far as I can tell.

First of all, I think the color looks great. Even though it's not what you wanted, at least it still looks good and is not orange. I tried to dye my hair once and it turned orange. And I cried.

Second, I'm not sure what you can do about it. I would be terrified to go back to that same salon because if they messed up royally the first time then I'd be afraid they'd mess up again. You could try a different salon, but that means more money. Or you could be brave and do it yourself. But beware of orange hair with the whole do-it-yourself thing.

Thank you for the comments. I felt really worried. You cannot quite see the purple in there and it seems pretty red. I don't think I'll go back to that salon. I think I'll let it grow and get healthy and see how much it melds to my natural color.
