Pregnant Dreams

W came home on day 5. He showed me some of the photos, but I probably will not post any for privacy reasons.  Suffice it to say that I think he made a huge difference, doing up to 11 difficult cases a day from 6:30 am to 10 pm every night. I am immensely proud of him.

When you're pregnant do you have crazy dreams?  For the last year (that means pre-pregnancy) I have had not just normal dreams I've started having complete story line dreams  from my friend Lindsay and her husband with their children saving the world from a zombie apocalypse (which dream I wasn't even in--I just watched); to finding a contaminated something or other and fleeing from the government that was hiding the evidence (Mitt Romney and his wife were in it and I kept thinking, "But I voted for you!").  Then this afternoon I dreamed that this baby inside me was kicking so hard that it's foot came right through my stomach and it opened up and I heard the baby make a cry.   I was astonished at how big the baby foot was--like hairless baby hobbit size--and I couldn't get my phone to work to call W and was attempting not to panic.

Please tell me I am not the only one that has wild and crazy dreams.  Because at present, I think they are getting out of hand. Ideas?!

Those sound like awesome (albeit a little frightening) dreams. I'm particularly intrigued by the one where my family and I saved the world from a zombie apocalypse.... ;)

You are not alone with the crazy pregnant dreams, though. I always get them, too. I think it's because I'm always waking up during the night and getting pulled out of sleep at the wrong moments. That's a scary thing whether or not it interrupted a wacky dream.

I thought I told you about that one, Lindsay, it really is a good one. If I haven't we'll have to chat and I'll tell you the whole dream because it's really exciting!

But the one today was particularly frightening because I woke up in the exact place and position I was dreaming about. So bizarre.

My thing is, if the dream doesn't make complete sense then I'll think about it and my imagination will fill in the unrealistic gaps (which can make it worse). It's not like I can fall right back to sleep, because if I do, the dream will probably continue.

I am naturally a crazy and vivid dreamer. That being said, once I'm pregnant, it's impossible for me to get a good night's rest because my mind is always going crazy. Half the time I dream that josh does something really mean and i wake up really really mad or hurt...

Wow Rachel, having dreams like that are hard to deal with! W has been on the receiving end of my feelings about such dreams a couple of times. He then reminds me it is just a dream and that he loves me and would never do thing like that in real life. But boy, those dreams can do a doozie on my morale for the next few days.
